Code of Conduct for Students
The ICMA International is committed to providing an environment that is free from discrimination and affirms the right of all the students to be treated with dignity and respect. The student Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedure is devised with the basic object of ensuring exemplary behavior and conduct of the students at all level which they can achieve by displaying the highest degree of moral and ethical values.
The competent authority under the power vested under CMA Act 1966 and Regulations 1990 are fully empowered and to initiate an inquiry and impose any penalty in case where as offence as per this code has been committed by any student, notwithstanding the fact that the said individual may have been exonerated or acquitted by a court of law of competent authority under prevailing laws of the land.
Responsibilities of the Students: Shall read, understand and make compliance the policies and take responsibly of actions. And shall abide by the institutions policy to value and support the overall environment.
Acceptable Conduct includes:
- 1. All students will present themselves with dignity befitting their status mature, law abiding and responsible person and show tolerance towards religious, ethnic, social and other difference.
- 2. Students in all settings on campus are expected to dress in a simple, decent and appropriate manner as described in the Dress Code Section.
- 3. Students will refrain from any activities and behavior that will cause damages to the Institute’s poverty.
- 4. Students shall be regular and punctual to the class and maintain the desired level of percentage of attendant to be able to appear for the examination.
- 5. Maintain discipline, decorum and layout of the classroom, computer lab and library;
- 6. Maintain cleanliness in and outside the classrooms;
- 7. Keep voice low while walking through corridors, so that classes in progress are not disturbed;
- 8. The misuse of IT department resources, including but not limited to unauthorized access, hacking, or any activities that violate the IT policies, is strictly prohibited.
- 9. Refrain from passing any derogatory and insulting remarkswhether oral, written, or through electronic media about the, fellow students, faculty members, Institute and its functionaries;
- 10. Display Identity Card of the Institute while in the premises of the Institute;
- 11. Identification cards issued by the institute are for official use only and must not be altered, shared, or used to misrepresent identity outside and inside the institute;
- 12. Ragging, hazing, or any form of physical or psychological abuse towards fellow students is strictly prohibited
- 13. Students should refrain from the making sexually offensive comments about dress or appearance, the display or distribution of sexually explicit material, or demand of sexual favour either through physically or though social media. Engaging in harassment on the grounds of a person’s sexuality (or assumption about a person’s sexuality) including making derogatory homophobic, transphobic, or biphobic remarks or jokes aimed at particular person or students, offensive comments relating to person’s sexuality, refusal to acknowledge a person’s gender or identity, or threats to disclose a person’s sexuality to others.
- 14. Should not smoke, eat betel leaf (Pan or gutka) and / or chew gum inside the premises of the Institute or in the vicinity.
- 15. The use, possession, distribution, or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages on institute’s premises is strictly prohibited.
- 16. Making offensive references to a person’s race, ethnicity, skin color, religious or person, dress, culture, background or customs which have the effect or ridiculing or undermining an individuals or fostering hatred and/or prejudice towards individuals or particular group and ignoring, disparaging, or ridiculing a person because of mistaken assumptions about their capabilities, or making offensive reference to an individual’s appearance, in the context of their disability.
