The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) and the National Institute of Banking and Finance, Pakistan [NIBAF-P] have entered into an MoU on October 13, 2023 to offer an opportunity to their members to enhance their professional qualifications in management accountancy/banking through a gateway assessment route.Upon successful completion of the gateway examinations, professionals from both the institutions can expedite their career advancement and broaden their knowledge by enrolling in higher-level courses and achieving professional qualifications in different areas of specialization at minimum time and cost. The new pathways for professionals are a beacon of dedication to cross-disciplinary competence in the field of accounting and banking.
The MOU bridges the gap between banking and management accounting, equipping candidates with a comprehensive skill set that extends beyond their core expertise. The purpose of this MOU is to encourage professionals from both the institutes to work together, share knowledge, and pool their expertise to address industry challenges.Further details are available in the documents which can be downloaded by clicking on them.
Eligibility:
According to the above MoU the holders of Junior Associateship (JAIBP)/ Associateship (AIBP)/ Fellowship (FIBP)certificate of National Institute of Banking and Finance, Pakistan [NIBAF-P]with minimumacademic qualification Intermediate/A-levels [12-year education] or equivalent recognized by IBCC are required to pass both gateway assessment examinations 1 & 2, whereas, the holders of 14/16-year education or above recognized by HEC are required to pass Gateway Assessment-2 [Managerial Level-2] only for direct admission into Strategic Level-1.
How to Apply:
Registration form may download from the ICMA International website or collect from any nearest campus and submit their filled and signed registration form along with photocopies of listed below documents:Matriculation Certificate;
- Intermediate/A-Levels Certificate/result;
- JAIBP/AIBP/FIBP Certificate
- Letter of Good Standing from NIBAF-P
- Graduation Degree/transcript [if hold];
- Master Degree/transcript [if hold];
- National Identity Card;
- Two recent photographs

Note:
- Registration fee may be paid in two equal instalments by increasing 10% as per the Institute’s policy.
- Each assessment examination fee is Rs. 19,200 which will be paid by the candidate along with examination form as per the announcement of the Examination Department from time to time.
